Tubefreeks Bio

Tubefreeks is a power rock trio based in the Baltimore, MD area. The group’s solid originality is fueled with the melodic heavy riffs and psychotic solos of guitarist Shawn Vickers combined with unique vocal stylings and harmonies of vocalist and bassist Paul van Valkenburgh. Throw in the brutal assault of drummer Geoff Burrell, and you’ve got a one-of-kind hard rock act.

Influences are numerous for the group and cover rock throughout the ages. Some key ones could include Sabbath / Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera, Deftones to name a few. The sound would be classified as straight hard rock.

Tubefreeks has just released a brand new CD titled Complex Disorders with 12 new songs. Highlights include the songs Aflagarden, Split Down 40, Warm December, Sequenze, Blackwater Rise, and Tripped Out Man. The group has performed nationwide for many years and brings it live as heavy as are the recordings. Tubefreeks has recently announced that WWE Professional Wrestler Bill Bain will be using Tubefreeks' Aflagarden as his arena entrance music.
